Billionaire Elon Musk has revealed that Grok 3, his new artificial intelligence chatbot developed by his company xAI, will be launched on Monday, February 17, 2025, in a live demonstration.
Considered a direct competitor to ChatGPT, Grok 3 comes with advanced reasoning capabilities, and Musk claims that it outperforms any other chatbot on the market.
“We are very close to completing Grok 3, which will bring a new level of AI interaction,” Musk said earlier this week, emphasizing that the tests carried out so far show impressive results.
Grok 3 promises to be more efficient in processing information and improve everyday interactions with users.
xAI, the company Musk founded in 2023, aims to compete with OpenAI, the organization Musk co-founded in 2015 but left in 2018 due to visionary differences.
Grok 3 comes shortly after a consortium led by Musk tried to take over OpenAI with a $97.4 billion offer, which was rejected.
Although it will only be available to premium subscribers of the social network X (formerly Twitter) and business customers, Grok 3 will be launched with a live demonstration that will take place today, at 8:00 p.m. Pacific time (04:00 GMT, Tuesday), with Musk promising a presentation that will delight the audience.
Grok 3 could represent an important new step in the competition to develop the most performing AI chatbots, given Musk’s experience in this field.
